Well my Earthicans, I'm one step closer to getting a 80-10 Meter Antenna at my QTH. I have been using a homebrew 40-10 endfed and it has been doing great. It has put a few countries that I never heard of in my logbook. But I still want to be greedy and have 60 and 80 meters to my station. My yard is 60'X90' so a 80 meter endfed at 135' long is not going to be straight. Good think about wire antennas is that they don't have to be straight. They can be all kinds of wonky.
So its going to start at the eve at the corner of my house at 9 feet up. Then it will go west for twenty feet to a 20 foot high mast. From there is will turn north and go across my house to a 25 foot tall flagpole that I am using as a antenna mast. Then the antenna will head east and go out to a 16 foot tall painters pole that I'm using as another antenna mast. It is attached to my shed. Today I was able to put the 25 foot tall flagpole up.
Tomorrow I expect to get the wire that I ordered and we will go from there. If you are intrested in the flagpole you can find it here: 25FT Aluminum Sectional Flagpole
That is all for now. Please subscribe and keep updated.
